Learn how to format your slides for a visually dynamic presentation. You can format text and objects from the Edit toolbar. Many properties for your Presentation can be set in the Presentation Properties dialog box. Properties for individual slides can be set in the Slide properties panel. Objects can be arranged and aligned to place content as needed.
Format different types of content
When you select an object, valid formatting options appear on the Edit tab. If you select a text box, you'll see the options for formatting text in the toolbar. You can select multiple text boxes to format at the same time. For consistent text formatting, use style guides.
If you select a table, you can see the formatting options that appear in the toolbar. Other options appear when you select shapes, lines, charts, or images. If you use a single selection over different content types, you can adjust the formatting for all of them at the same time.
Resize and rotate objects
To resize and rotate objects:
- Select an object.
- Click and drag the handles.
- Right-click for object-specific formatting options such as Chart Properties or table cell properties.
Delete slide content
To delete slide content:
- Select a text box or image, then click Delete or [Backspace].
- For a chart, click to select it, then hover over the edge of the chart until the four-arrows tooltip appears. Click again and select Delete on your keyboard.
