View Classic Files and Projects
Classic files are no longer available for use as of January 2021 with the end of Flash. If you see the message below, classic files have been disabled for your workspace or organization. This means that you can no longer create, edit, view, or import classic files. You can still access the contents of a classic file by exporting a PDF or transitioning it to a next gen file.
The following file types are considered classic:
- Classic Documents
- Classic Workbooks
- Classic Presentations
- Classic Data Collections
- Projects
Switch to Folders
Going forward you’ll use folders to organize and manage your files instead of projects. After classic has been disabled, you can still access .zip files on projects by going to Classic Account Admin and using the Content tab.
To learn more about using folders, see these help articles:
Export a PDF of a Classic File
To download a PDF of a classic file:
- Select Export as PDF.
- Click Next.
- When the PDF is finished generating, click Download PDF.
You can also right click on a classic file and choose Download PDF.
Transition a Classic File
Note: By default, transitioning classic files is only available for Workspace Owners.
As a best practice, you’ll typically transition an entire project. When you transition a single file, it could impact links to other files. As such, it is suggested that you only transition a single file if you need to access its content.
To transition your classic files, review the following articles:
- Prepare to Transition
