Though slightly improved from 2020, I think many of us would say that 2021 was just "ok". Each month seemed to add a bit more normalcy, coupled with some of that pandemic flare. Still, though, there were plenty of bright spots this year both for the Community, and for Workiva too. Here’s a quick recap of 2021

At Workiva

At the start of the year we celebrated having upgraded all our customers to our next gen platform. We also added a new CFO, Jill Klindt. Perhaps the biggest news of 2021 was not one but two acquisitions by Workiva—OneCloud, and most recently, AuditNet. We received plenty of accolades again in 2021, including Best Company to Work For™ for the 3rd year in a row, best places to work in Tech, and awards for best places to work for Millennials, and Parents. We also launched our Workiva Marketplace, made strides as the top ESG reporting solution, and were named a leader for GRC platforms. 💪

And lastly, our annual conference, Amplify, was again an all-virtual event and it did not disappoint, smashing all sorts of records. Nearly 10,000 attendees for 100+ countries took park in over 70 sessions, but none were more exciting that the keynote with Matthew McConaughey.

The Workiva Platform

With Classic and Flash™ in the rear-view, our product team set to work on bringing to life many improvements and new features, to our array of products and solutions to simplify your work. Some key items include Authorship, Lock Edits, Processes, Remediation, Designed Reporting, and Data Prep. We also launched some new badges and certifications available through the Learning Hub so you can show off your mad Workiva skills.

In the Workiva Community

Not to be outdone, in the Community too we had a lot of new additions, and a few face-lifts. We added even more topics and adjusted the layout of the homepage to make it easy to find what you are looking for. 

In 2021 we welcomed over 18,000 new members, added nearly 800 new questions, and commented over 1,400 times. This year we worked on improving our feedback experience and utilized the Workiva Community even more to gather all your wonderful ideas in one spot. Believe it or not, you provided us with over 900 pieces of product feedback to help guide is in improving the Workiva Platform. We can’t say thank you enough. We truly appreciate hearing from you.

In closing

Again, thank you so much for making 2021 even better than the year before. As we look back, we acknowledge that without you, those awards, accolades and achievements wouldn't be possible without you. Our customers are the best part of each year, and here’s to another with you all. Cheers!
