New custom fields icon
Within the Workiva Platform, the icon for the Custom Fields within the right hand panel has been updated for easier identification.
For information on how to create and use custom fields, see Create custom fields.
Note: This feature is part of an Early Access Program and is not yet available to all customers.
文件
Export comments to DOCX
Comments can now be exported to DOCX using the advanced option Include comments.
There are some comment functionalities that are supported in Workiva that are not directly supported in Word. To learn more about this feature and what to expect when using it, see Comments in Documents.
Documents, Spreadsheets, & Presentations
Improvements to comment link navigation
Previously, if a link led to a comment that didn’t match the filters in the Comments panel, the comment would be hidden and difficult to locate. Now, any active (non-deleted) comment thread will be visible when accessed via a notification link, regardless of filters. The comment will remain visible for the session or until you adjust the filters to hide it again.
ESG
View metric ID for ESG requests in Workiva Tasks
For added clarity, assignees and approvers can now view the ID of the ESG Program metric they prepare and verify a value for from their task in Workiva Tasks.
For more information, see Prepare or approve values for ESG Program metrics.
View related IFRS disclosure items for CDP questions in ESG Explorer
If you have both CDP 2024 and the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) enabled in ESG Explorer, you can now view the IFRS disclosures — and the specific items within those disclosures — that a CDP question aligns with.
GRC
Decommissioned controls filtered out of controls list
If you use the Decommissioned Date on your control form to decommission controls, those controls will now be filtered out of the list in the Controls experience to provide more accurate counts. You can still access decommissioned controls via Data or Reports experiences.

Self-recovery workflow for new user onboarding and login
We are excited to announce a new self-recovery workflow to enhance the onboarding experience for new users and streamline the login process. New users can now quickly and easily gain access to the system without the unnecessary delays of calling Support to get a new welcome email or reset password link.
Previously, when a new user is invited to our system, they receive a welcome email containing a link to set up their password and log in. This link is valid for 24 hours. If the link expires, users must contact customer support to request a new welcome email.
What's new? Now if a user clicks on an expired welcome email link, they will receive an error message indicating the link has expired and the system will automatically resend the welcome email, providing another opportunity for the user to set up their password for the first time. Users no longer need to rely on customer support as much when their welcome email expires, streamlining their login process.
For more information about these features and how they work, see Manage organization users.
