Update CDP Questionnaire with revisions from CDP
As CDP's 2026 scoring deadline looms — September 16, as a reminder — note that CDP published revisions to questions within some modules during the reporting cycle.
What changed
- 2. Identification, assessment, and management of dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities: In 2.2.2, the Risk types and criteria considered column now offers Pollution incident as an option when any Environmental issue is selected.
- 3. Disclosure of risks and opportunities: In 3.1.1, you can now select multiple forest or ocean commodities in a single row within the Commodity column. Previously, you could select only one commodity per row.
- 5. Business strategy: 5.11.6 and 5.11.7 now appear only for financial services organizations who were requested to disclose by The RE100 initiative. In 5.12, the Requesting member column is no longer mandatory.
- 7. Environmental performance — Climate change: In 7.8, the Emissions calculation methodology column now only offers options for the relevant Scope 3 emissions category. In 7.12.1, the Please explain column now unlocks cells for only relevant rows. 7.30.9, 7.30.10, and 7.30.15 now appear only for financial services organizations who were requested to disclose by The RE100 initiative.
- 18. SME business strategy — In 18.4, the Requesting member column is no longer mandatory.
Update CDP Questionnaire with revisions
If these changes impact your submission, you can create a new CDP Questionnaire — updated with CDP's revisions — in Sustainability Explorer.
Before you create the new Questionnaire, a Questionnaire Owner should first update your CDP submission from your current Questionnaire to ensure CDP Portal has all of your drafted responses. When you create the new Questionnaire for the reporting year, it then starts with the latest in from your CDP submission — the revisions from CDP, and your responses already drafted for the disclosure cycle.

If collaborators use Comments with the CDP Questionnaire to discuss questions and responses, you can choose whether to move comments from the existing Questionnaire when you create the new one to ensure continuity of their collaboration. If you move comments, they'll appear only in the new Questionnaire and no longer appear in the previous Questionnaire.
After you create the new Questionnaire, a Questionnaire Owner can adjust the previous Questionnaire's Permissions — or delete it altogether — to help prevent its continued use by collaborators.
If you previously requested an export of your CDP Questionnaire to a Document, Workiva Support will need the ID of your new Questionnaire if you request to export its responses.
