After you've started to collaborate on a CDP Questionnaire for a disclosure cycle, CDP may publish revisions to questions during the disclosure cycle that impact your submission. If these revisions impact your CDP submission, you can create a new Questionnaire for the same reporting year in Sustainability Explorer to start anew with these revisions.
To help collaborators retain their work from before CDP's revisions, you can:
- Update your CDP submission with the current responses from CDP Questionnaire before you create the new Questionnaire.
- Choose whether to move comments from the current Questionnaire to the new one.
Note: When you update your submission from CDP Questionnaire, it overwrites the responses in your CDP Portal. If a collaborator edited responses directly in the CDP Portal instead of the Questionnaire, update the respective responses within your current Questionnaire to adopt those edits.

During the 2026 disclosure cycle, CDP published these revisions to questions:

Create another Questionnaire for disclosure cycle
To adopt CDP's revisions to your CDP Portal submission during the disclosure cycle, you can create a new CDP Questionnaire in Sustainability Explorer that:
- Includes CDP's revised questions from your CDP Portal submission
- Retains collaborators' responses already drafted in CDP Questionnaire
- Can include comment threads from the disclosure cycle's current Questionnaire
Tip: To retain a snapshot of your current Questionnaire, you can request an export of its responses to a Document. To learn more, view Export CDP Questionnaire responses to Document.
To create this new, updated CDP Questionnaire, a Workspace Owner can:
- From the current CDP Questionnaire, open Overview, then click Update CDP submission to save its draft responses in your CDP Portal submission.
- From Sustainability Explorer, select the same reporting year in CDP Questionnaire, then click Create questionnaire.

In Settings, choose whether to move the comments from the current Questionnaire to the new one, such as to retain discussions about their responses.
Note: If you move comments to the new Questionnaire, they'll no longer appear in the current Questionnaire.
To move the comments to the new Questionnaire, select Move comments, then select the Questionnaire to move the comment from.
- To create the new Questionnaire that includes the latest from your CDP Portal submission — including the revised questions and your saved responses — click Create questionnaire.

From the new Questionnaire, set its Permissions as necessary for collaborators to continue their work on responses.
Note: To help prevent continued use of the previous Questionnaire, a Questionnaire Owner can delete it from Sustainability Explorer or set its Permissions to limit collaborators' access.
