One of the biggest changes for our team over the past year has been implementing Wdata. Having our data connected and easier to manage has helped simplify a lot of our processes and reduced the time spent tracking down information.
We've also been using the certification process for years, and it's become a key part of how we manage reviews and approvals. It gives our team confidence that the right people have reviewed the right information before it's finalized.
While these may not seem like flashy innovations, they've made a meaningful difference in how efficiently we work and collaborate. We're looking forward to continuing to explore new way to get eve more value from the platform.
0We’ve significantly improved data integrity and efficiency by centralizing reporting and leveraging linked data across documents. Updates now cascade automatically, which has reduced errors and eliminated repetitive validation work.We’re exploring ways to layer in AI for variance analysis and narrative generation, freeing up time for higher-value FP&A insights. We believe to have an impact on faster reporting cycles, fewer errors and rework, and more time spent on analysis vs. data preparation with layering AI.0Our company used to use Word and Excel. Now with links and commenting, collaboration and accuracy have been increased.
0We have found efficiencies in utilizing custom assessments within the GRC modules that replace historic email sign offs.

0- Workiva has immensely helped us improve accuracy, completeness, and efficiency through linked data to automate updates. We've even moved IR into Workiva to help automate their updates with linked data across documents as well.
- We have found creative uses of Workiva Sync to save hours of manual work that previously existed in outside Excel workbooks.
- The tie-out feature in Workiva helped us reduce manual updates in PDF outside of Workiva, more efficiently track updates in new drafts, and streamline review within the platform
- We do quarterly certification tasks in Workiva, which has been a very streamlined, repeatable process

0As a reporting tool, Workiva includes many in-built functionalities and while our teams have historically housed our processes outside of the platform, we are excited to incorporate more and more as time moves along. We're greatly looking forward to the enhanced AI capabilities and what that will bring.
0I actually learned a lot about innovation with Workiva through the Amplify conference. One of the most valuable experiences was connecting with professionals from different companies and teams and learning how they use the platform.
I was particularly interested in hearing how organizations integrate and sync data from multiple ERP systems into Workiva to streamline reporting and improve data consistency. I also learned more about capabilities such as Workiva Sync, Wdata, and Intelligent Finance, which highlighted new ways to automate data flows and reduce manual effort.
The conference broadened my perspective on how Workiva can support more connected, efficient, and scalable reporting processes, and it gave me several ideas to explore within my own team.
0I feel as though attending Amplify has had a great impact on my bank's innovation and efficiency in our internal and external financial reporting. Each year I come back to my team with ideas of where we can further integrate Workiva automation into our approach.
Since Amplify 2025 we have started to test out certain aspects of Intelligent Finance and have also automated several monthly or quarterly tasks into Workiva that previously were more manual, resulting in a savings of several hours per quarter. We also strive to link any analysis, memo, slide deck, etc. that has numbers that can be linked to other source documents within our Workiva environment, so each quarter we brainstorm as a team on additional ways to automate.
0I've always learned something when attending Amplify. We use Workiva a lot for data gathering from out subsidiaries for our footnotes since they are not all in our consolidated ERP system. This has greatly improved our efficiency and communication since the data is all in one spreadsheet including comments that go back and forth between our entities as well as IPE support from the subsidiaries. At Amplify we learned about additional formulas we could use in these spreadsheets and use of the status labels and translation since we are a global company. This is one example of our Workiva use.
0We're innovating with workiva by transforming how we create and manage our sustainability report process. workiva has enabled stronger collaboration across teams throughout our organization, by creating a centralized space where stakeholders can contribute, review, and refine content live. It's streamlined our processes and we're excited about opportunities to further leverage AI, not just in report development but in compliance to emerging regulations, and supporting responses to frameworks, raters and rankers. We hope to continue to working with Workiva to suggest features and develop use cases to continue strengthening the tool's capabilities.
0Being able to dump our financial data straight into the Workiva's spreadsheets and utilize the same template period over period to efficiently generate financial reports
0Our team is just now starting to dive into and utilize different AI tools, including those within the platform. It has helped in documenting specific transactions, as well as drafting language for our quarterly reports. 0Our innovation with Workiva has been both practical and transformative. Rather than viewing sustainability reporting as a separate, manual process, we reimagined it as an extension of our controlled, connected external reporting environment. By integrating Workiva’s sustainability platform this year into our existing reporting ecosystem, we eliminated silos between financial and ESG data and created a single source of truth for disclosures. Ultimately, our innovation lies in how we’ve connected people, processes, and data—leveraging Workiva not just as a reporting tool, but as a strategic platform that supports scalable, future-ready sustainability reporting aligned with our commitment to responsible resource management and sustainable agriculture.
0One word.........AUDIT. Workiva has significantly reduced the back and forth of emails between reviewers and providers by allowing the audit team access to a review copy of the latest financials in order to ask questions within a specific document, rather than trying to describe what they are looking at or sending screenshots. Responses are in real time and adjustments can be made quickly.
0The biggest "after" for us has been linked data. Our financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and tie-out support now pull from a single source, so an update cascades everywhere automatically and our review focus has shifted from agreeing the numbers across documents to actual analysis.
We are starting to layer in the AI capabilities for first-draft disclosure language and variance narratives, which is where I'm most curious to see what's next.
0I love being able to link data. It makes it so easy to update everything once you have the data. I also love how numbers, dates, etc. can be formatted different ways from one input.
0We’ve been leveraging Workiva’s scripting and Chain capabilities to drive scalable, automated reporting for high-volume, time-sensitive outputs.
Our process connects source data into structured datasets (via Snowflake), which then trigger a Chain to initiate a script. This script dynamically generates hundreds of notices in a single run, each tailored to the underlying data. As a bonus, we enabled the script to apply design features such as a watermark and color blocking.
Final deliverables are packaged and dropped to designated locations as zipped files, enabling seamless downstream distribution.
0We haven't even begun to utilize all the possibilities with Workiva, as I am still training the team on it; however, it helps connect us globally from the East coast to South Korea. Looking forward to implementing more of the features, including the rounding template and the excel add-in, which although archaic compared to other options, will be incredibly helpful once set up.
0Since implementing Workiva for internal management reporting in December, we’ve established core workflows, fully transitioned our board materials onto the platform, and expanded adoption across both departments and users. This shift has enabled us to standardize processes and strengthen permission controls.
Previously, our processes were manual, repetitive, and prone to error. With Workiva, we’ve significantly reduced time spent reconciling large volumes of data and can now focus more on value-added analytics and strategic decision-making.
Workiva has been a true game changer for our organization, and we continue to expand its adoption to unlock even greater efficiencies.
0Though we're still working on leveraging all the new and existing functionality that the plaform has to offer, we use Workiva for SEC reporting, SOX testing, controls management, and ESG. For SEC reporting, we love the linking and tabular functionality and we look forward to more robust workflow and governance functionality.
0SEC reporting is our home base and continues to improve, but the innovation we're most proud of lately is bringing our monthly reporting package into Workiva.
Beyond the process itself, the bigger win has been getting our stakeholders — FP&A, CFO, and more — into Workiva to drop their comments directly. Anyone who's managed a review cycle across email and spreadsheets knows how much of a lift that shift is. Having everyone in one place has cut down on the back-and-forth and made our reviews so much cleaner.
Excited to keep building on this foundation and continue expanding Workiva's capabilities across the rest of the company.
0Workiva has been a tremendous help for process improvement. The data source linking function improving efficient and accuracy across multiple documents. The various capabilities combined in one app make the entire process flow smoothly from data input, document integration, review & sign off, track changes, version control, filing with SEC and locking final version.
0Our financial reporting team built a live-connected Shared Services reporting solution in Workiva and it has genuinely transformed how we support our cost center owners. Before this, they were getting static reports after month-end when the books were already closed. Nothing they could actually do with the information at that point. Now they have real-time actuals vs. budget pulled straight from our GL, no manual exports, no reformatting, no waiting until the period is already gone to see where they stood.
The part I'm most proud of is that it's not just an efficiency win for our team. We support around 30 cost center owners across Shared Services and they can actually see where they stand while the period is still open and make adjustments that matter. That's a real change in how we work together.3We have a couple of data files for our final Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. Our business partner used to filter the file to obtain each metric and manually add them to our data collection sheets and manually attach the support so we could see that each number was complete and accurate. I was able to upload the files into Wdata, create multiple queries, and auto-populate all of those 200+ metrics into our data collection sheets, using formulas that pull from those queries. Our business partner still reviews to ensure the queries are working correctly and the numbers are accurate, but they do not need to manually attach support for each metric any longer. This have saved our teams a TON of time YoY.
0My organization is going into its second year using Workiva for our financial reporting. It has been a very helpful tool so far and we're exploring different ways Workiva can be used in other aspects of our reporting.
0We're in the middle of connecting our GL balances directly into Workiva for lease reporting to try to cut out the manual steps we've always had to do to get our lease numbers into the report. It's been a process, but the goal is having one clean data flow from our lease subledger to the disclosure.
2Our biggest win is being able to connect/share data across workspaces. Prior to having Workiva we'd spend a lot of time downloading data, manually editing, and having to re-download as changes were made. Now with connections set up we just have to push a button to refresh data when changes are made.
