If you have a task that multiple collaborators need to complete, you can quickly create and assign tasks in bulk. When you create tasks in bulk, a separate task is sent to each assignee’s task list to complete.
Bulk create a task in a file
To create a task in bulk in a file:
- With the file open, click the Tasks icon in the right panel.
- Click the plus icon at the top of the Tasks panel.
- Add the details of the task. To create the task in bulk, add all of the assignees in the Assigned to field.

Select the checkbox for Bulk create tasks. Each assignee will be sent a separate task to complete.
Note: If you don't select the Bulk create tasks option, this will create only one task, and only one of the assignees will need to complete the task.
Your task is created and now appears in each collaborator's task list.
Note: The ability to customize automated reminders is currently not available while creating tasks in a file. If you still want to customize the automated reminders for tasks in a file, you can do so by editing the task from the Tasks tab in Home.
Bulk create a task in Home
You can also bulk create tasks from the Tasks tab in Home. To bulk create tasks from this tab:
- Click Create new task.
- In the Create task panel, add the details of the task. To create the task in bulk, add all of the assignees in the Assigned to field.

Note: If you don't select the Bulk create tasks option, this will create only one task, and only one assignee will need to complete the task.
Your task is created and now appears in each collaborator's task list.
Note: You can also customize your automated reminders while creating tasks from Home.
Go to a task's location from Home
From the Tasks tab in Home, if applicable, there are a couple ways to go to a task’s location once it’s created:
- Click the hyperlink in the Task or Location column.

Click within the task’s row to open the details panel and click the hyperlink at the bottom of the panel.
