Ability to save PDF of documents with specific comments

In the classic platform, you could save down a document PDF with specific comments.  Basically, if you had the comments sorted by a specific person, you could save down a PDF with their comments only.

We need that functionality in the next gen platform.  We like to be able to save down a PDF with specific comments.  Not all documents are sent out for review or people may not access the review sent to them but go directly to the document.  

We use this functionality when our auditors needs evidence of review for a specific person.

    Exciting Product Update!

    You can now filter comments on PDF exports in Workiva. Any filters applied in the comment panel will automatically carry over to your exported PDF.

    Thanks for bringing this up. I find a few requests for this internally as well here on the Community too. There's also a similar request for filter-able comments in sending reviews too.

    Hi, I second this feature - in the past year we've asked all reviewers to review exclusively in Wdesk, and we send the review comments as evidence of review to our auditors. Since we are unable to filter comments by user, the auditors are getting a lot more comments that is unnecessary for them.

    I definitely second this. I have not been able to find how to even print with the comments, let alone comments by a specific person. Our auditors will ask us to revert back to a review process outside of Workiva if we don't have a printable audit trail regarding their comments. This then defeats the use of having such a platform.

    Thanks for chiming in, Sowmya! I've got your request logged on the backend, and as far as an update, at this time it only remains a proposed enhancement that is being reviewed. Should it move into the Product Team's roadmap, we'll be sure to let  you know here.

    Following. It would save us a lot of time to filter for only "open" comments or comments from/to certain individuals. Currently we're exporting to PDF and manually re-adding in our comments in the PDF.
