Copy & Paste, Shadow Effects on Presentation
BeantwoordI find it difficult sometimes to copy and paste. I'll copy something and paste it, and it is copying something I had previously copied. The only solution sometimes is to totally exit Workiva and start all over again.
Also, is there any feature that will add a shadow effect to a box or table or image on a Workiva presentation or document?

Hi Gary!
Thanks for sharing this experience. That definitely seems counter to what we'd expect when it comes to copy and paste. Our Support team would be happy to investigate further with to see if they can isolate the issue. You can contact them here to get that ball rolling.
Regarding "Shadow Effect", this was actually just brought up here recently and as mentioned there, it is not possible today though is something we are considering as others have asked for it. There's a workaround listed there too, but in the meantime I will be happy to add you as a requestor for this enhancement and will keep you apprised of that work.
Let me know if you have any follow-ups in the meantime or need anything else. Cheers!
0This happens to me also sometimes. My thought has been that it is just delayed and has not finished the copy process before I Ctrl V to the other sheet. If I Ctrl C and wait a bit, then Control V, that seems to work. I do not usually need to close and open Workiva.
0Mike, thanks for responding. Re the copy and paste, is there a preferred Workiva browser, maybe?
Kellie, thanks to you, too, for responding. Yes, sometimes waiting helps. Sometimes it also seems like the problem is tied to where the animated dashes are, meaning, you have to make sure your animated dashes are not somewhere other than the place you are copying.
