Blackline authorship requested - again

Again, this would be immensely helpful and I have never received a good reason why it isn't being implemented.  The number of steps to go through to confirm who made a change in the blackline, given the other functionality obviously available within WDesk, is unreasonable.

Please reconsider, or provide a good reason why this hasn't been implemented.

    Hi all! Wanted to circle back on this with an update you are likely aware of... Blacklines with Authorship is now available!
    • What it does: Lets you see who authored specific changes in a Document blackline, improving transparency for audits and discussions.
    • How to turn it on: Open a blackline and toggle Authorship from the View toolbar (or enable it in the Blackline changes panel).
    • What you’ll see: Highlights you can hover to view author, date, and time; you can also review authors in the Changes panel.

    Hello Pat Flanakin,

    Unfortunately there's still not a great way to get this information and work is not planned, as noted here. While others have requested blackline authorship, we’ve not received a significant amount compared to other feedback topics, which is why it has not taken priority. However, we do continue to monitor the linked post and consider all related feedback, such as yours! We'll keep the post updated if there's any new developments.

    This feature is critically important in a documentation effort especially to identify significant changes year over year (section removal).  I can blackline and see the change however unable to identify who made the change so difficult to pinpoint the correct person to ask about why the change was made.

    Great news! This enhancement is now on our future product roadmap. No timeline for a release as of yet, but its a step in the right direction. We'll keep taking in requests here and will keep you updated on progress. Thanks again for your patience and keep staying awesome in the meantime!
