Permissions say I'm the owner of a sheet, but the sheet says I'm only a viewer
In the permissions settings, it says I'm an owner of Spreadsheet A; however, in the actual Spreadsheet A, the blue bar at the top says "You are a viewer of this sheet. To request edit access, contact a sheet owner." I'm also a workspace admin, so I've applied and reapplied permission settings to the file, to the folders and files, etc., but the ownership isn't "taking" even though permissions say I'm an owner. I've also tried to get other owners of Spreadsheet A to re-set my permissions, but nothing is "taking". What might I be missing?
My goal is that I need to copy Spreadsheet A, with all its connections, to a Spreadsheet B to use for a new documentation cycle.

Related, it doesn't look like the Connections will copy over with the files, am I missing something here as well?

You will need to adjust section level permissions, not document permissions. Section level permissions override document level.Thanks,

You will first need to right click > Permissions > Advanced Permissions and then you'll be able to control the permissions at a section level!

it did not change the "viewer" to "editor" or "owner". Thank you

Thanks for confirming that. Is this spreadsheet in a folder? If so, we need to confirm the users have appropriate permissions at the folder level.

Thank you for for clarifying - looks like the folder name is "files". I see that you have group permissions set for document editors. Are you trying to change permissions for the group or for the individual contributors?

When I ran into this issue, the solution was to confirm the individual's workspace role. If they do not have editor role, it doesn't matter if their group has edit access in the permissions for all folders and files, they will have read-only access until you update their role as well.
