Can I do a data import or any other automated functionality to import data into chart data to reflect back on to the charts when ever there is a need to update the charts?

I have a bar chart in the document that I created. As initial setup I will create based on the data I have. But later once the user starts using it, is there a way to import the data to this chart data instead of manual process where the user goes to the chart data of the chart and update the data there every time?

    Hi Naresh!

    While currently you cannot automate/import directly into the Chart Data, you can create links to the data and have your source (i.e. a Spreadsheet) be updated as such.

    For example, you could have a Spreadsheet section that feeds the Chart Data and that section (sheet) could be connected either to Shared Sheet Data (or another Connector), or you could update the values via an XLSX or CSV import. Once updated, you would then publish and your Chart Data would be similarly updated.

    or is there a automated way to send the data from the external spreadsheet to Wdesk spread sheet as when needed so that I can link to chart data through the links.

    Hi Naresh!

    Did some more checking on this, and while its not currently there in Chart Data, our Product Team is working on adding Wdata Connections as an optional connection instead of just raw values or links from Spreadsheets. Here's a quick Intro to Wdata on our Help site, for more info on that.
