Apply formatting - linked values to textbox in Presentation

When linking values from a spreadsheet to a textbox in Presentations, it seems like the option "Apply Formatting" when pasting the link is not available. The blue icon that usually shows up when creating a link does not appear.
Is this functionality not supported when working in Presentations? Or is there another way of making sure that the formatting from the spreadsheet is not applied when pasting the link?

No, the little clipboard and apply formatting and other options is not a feature when linking from a spreadsheet to a text box. It is available when linking from a spreadsheet to a table in a presentation, but not when just pasting into a text box. There is no way to prevent it taking the formatting. It will just have to be re-formatted upon pasting.
