🎺 Introducing Home Boards for Financial Reporting

Have you ever wished that Workiva’s Home experience could give you better visibility into the work you need to do, all while being tailored to your team’s specific needs and processes? Well, we’re thrilled to announce the rollout of our Home Boards experience for Financial Reporting workspaces over the weekend of September 21st, 2024! Our GRC and ESG solutions are already loving the new Home experience, so we’re excited to expand access to our Financial Reporting customers this year.

Furthermore, all of our Home Boards customers, including our existing GRC and ESG customers, are getting the new File Reviews widget to help users track all their assigned and sent Digital Reviews in one place!

Create and assign tailored boards for your teams

To get you started, we provide an out-of-the-box Default Board. For a more tailored Home experience, Workspace Owners can create and assign boards with powerful widgets from our continuously evolving widget library, while still allowing individual power users to organize their own work the way they want. Workspace Owners can also set a board as the primary board (the first board users will see when they sign in) to guide users straight to their work within the platform. Then, they can update their boards as needs and processes evolve and as new widgets and features become available.

Curate your own individual Home

Users who are not Workspace Owners can still create and configure their own boards according to how they work best. They can switch between their own boards and boards assigned to them by Workspace Owners, and can also set their own primary board.

Navigating this change

Your Recent Files and Starred Files are now available as widgets which can be added and can also be seen on your Default Board. You can also still access the old experience by clicking Files in the left-hand navigation panel.

Anticipated release plans

We will begin releasing Home Boards to our Financial Reporting customers over the weekend of September 21st, 2024.  Please note that some solutions and customers may get access to this feature slightly earlier than others as we work on releasing it to all workspaces.
