Workiva AI is a dedicated assistant that directly integrates with your Workiva files to enable seamless, side-by-side collaboration as you work. Access Workiva AI
You can open Workiva AI any time when working with a spreadsheet:
- Click the Workiva AI sparkles icon at the top of the screen.
- Write your own prompt or browse the prompt advisor.
You can see your cell selection below the prompt box.
To quickly take actions within your sheet, you can select cells, right-click to open the menu, and select an action.
A response will be created in the Workiva AI panel.

Add workspace files

Insert content into your file
When you receive a response from Workiva AI, you can insert content directly into your file. First, move your cursor to the spot where you want the content to go. Then underneath the response, click Insert. The content will automatically go into the file.
You can also select Copy instead. This will copy the response so you can paste into someplace else.
When a response includes structured content (such as tables, code, formulas, or multiple options), each object may include its own Insert and Copy option.
Note: Inserted content will appear at your cursor location in the file. Review the placement before inserting to make sure it appears in the correct context.
Limitazioni
Workiva AI may not reliably perform calculations. When working with numeric data, it returns a formula instead of a calculated value. Review the formula to confirm accuracy, then insert it into your sheet to generate the result.
