New FERC Form 60 v2.1 Taxonomy Available in Workiva Platform
On April 1st, FERC released an update to the Form 60 Taxonomy. You may read the exact reason for the update in the description posted to the FERC e-forms refresh website. In combination with the April 1st updates to the Viewer & Validations, it was learned that migrating to this new taxonomy will be required for all Form 60 filers in order to submit your form to FERC.
As a result of this update, the Workiva platform now supports this new 2.1 Form 60 Taxonomy for all FERC users to migrate to. The process to migrate taxonomies will operate just as it did for the 2.0 taxonomy update in February. Nonetheless you can find resources such as our prior Webinar discussing taxonomy migrations on the Learning Hub or help articles around how to perform this migration here. In addition, our webinar series continues throughout April for those looking for more detail around this and other FERC updates as well.
We are excited to make available for you the latest technology updates from FERC and are committed to the success of your first Annual Form filings. Please do not hesitate to contact Workiva Customer Support, your Professional Services Manager, or here in the Community should you have any additional questions or concerns around this new taxonomy update or any of the latest updates to the FERC viewer or validations.
