It would be helpful to have the ability to spell check the entire document from a function in the toolbar, similar to how it was in classic.

The good news here is our Product Team is actively working on this enhancement, and I'd anticipate its arrival in the coming month, if not sooner. I've got your request for this connected here, but I'll also keep this post updated going forward too.
