Simplify revised European Sustainability Reporting Standards with Workiva AI
If your Sustainability Reporting Advanced workspace has both Workiva AI and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) enabled, you can now add Revised ESRS as a knowledge base in Workiva AI to help clarify the revised Standards adopted by the European Commission in July 2026.
With this knowledge base, you can prompt Workiva AI to help summarize the disclosure requirements of the revised ESRS. To help explain differences between the revised Standards and the ESRS Delegated Act of 2023, you can also add both Revised ESRS and ESRS as knowledge bases.
To help draft disclosures for the revised Standards, you can also now use Sustainability Disclosure Agent for the revised ESRS. From your report's Document, highlight the disclosure's content, then select Draft disclosure from Quick edits.
Based on the specified disclosure requirements (DRs) of the revised ESRS, the Agent responds with:
- Compliance scorecard, to assess how well the highlighted content meets the DRs
- Action items, to help resolve any gaps identified by the scorecard
- Referenced guidance, to specify mandatory requirements used to determine the scorecard, and application requirements and additional guidance used to verify gaps
- Disclosure narrative, with an updated draft of the content, tailored to the DRs

Update double-materiality assessment templates for revised ESRS
If your workspace includes double-materiality assessment (DMA) templates for the ESRS — as implemented for the Delegated Act of 2023 or updated for the draft simplified Standards — you can now request Spreadsheet templates from your Workiva Customer Success Manager (CSM) to update your DMA templates with the new topics and disclosure requirements (DRs) of the revised ESRS.
You can choose to either:
- Import the new topics and DRs into your DMA templates, to start fresh with the revised ESRS.
- Update your DMA templates to retain their current topics and map them to the new topics.
Tip: To help determine which template to request, or to help ensure proper implementation, your CSM can set up a consultation meeting.

Explore 2026 Corporate Sustainability Assessment
If your Sustainability Explorer includes S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), you can now explore the content for 2026.
With this content, you can help prepare responses for your 2026 submission:
- Browse questions, and bookmark as necessary for reference throughout the workspace.
- Use Comments to discuss questions and guidance with collaborators.
- Connect questions to related metrics in Sustainability Program to enable data collection.
Note: Sustainability Explorer only represents the questions for the assessment, which you respond to through CSA portal. Any responses you select for CSA content within Sustainability Explorer are temporary and reset when your browser refreshes.

Move comments to new CDP Questionnaire for disclosure cycle
From Sustainability Explorer, you can create a CDP Questionnaire for a reporting year that already has a Questionnaire, such as to update your questions with revisions from CDP. When you create a new Questionnaire for the same year as another Questionnaire, you can now choose whether to move the comments from the current Questionnaire to the new one, to help ease continued collaboration on responses.
Note: If you move comments, they appear only in the new Questionnaire, and no longer appear in the previous Questionnaire.
