Subject-matter experts (SMEs) — like yourself! — may be asked to help respond to your company's annual questionnaire from CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project). From a Sustainability Reporting workspace, you can collaborate on these disclosures from CDP Questionnaire in Sustainability Explorer.
Track assignments from Home
To request your collaboration on CDP responses, you may receive:
- Comments that @mention you, added to specific questions in CDP Questionnaire
- Tasks assigned to you — as a data provider or approver — from a Document or Sustainability Program metric that curates values for CDP questions
To help ensure you complete your requested responses, you can track and manage these Comments or Tasks — like a To-Do list — from Home. For example, in Comments, you can choose to view only comment threads that involve or mention you.
Tip: If assigned a response through a comment, you can open its question directly from the email notification or from Comments in Home.

Complete responses in CDP Questionnaire
From Sustainability Explorer, you can collaborate on your requested CDP disclosures with other workspace members.
Note: To help you focus on only questions that require your attention, a Questionnaire Owner may set permissions so you view only your applicable modules.
- In CDP Questionnaire, open the Questionnaire for the CDP disclosure cycle.
- Navigate to the applicable module and question for each response.
- Enter responses directly in their respective questions.
To help draft a response:
- From the Guidance panel, review the question's response options, scoring criteria, and other insight from CDP.
- From the Comments panel, discuss the question's responses and CDP guidance with other workspace members.
- For a question connected to Sustainability Program metrics, view and open the metrics from the Related metrics panel — such as to copy/paste values into its responses.
Note: For responses that require attachments, your company uploads their files through the CDP Portal — not the CDP Questionnaire in Sustainability Explorer. However, to provide attachments for a response, you can upload them as supporting attachments to related metric values or as attachments in a Document set up in your workspace by your CDP administrator.

Track completion of responses
To help indicate when your responses are complete, set its question's status as Answered or Reviewed, respectively.
Note: If you choose to omit a question's responses, set a status of Not responding to skip the question in your CDP submission.
When the Questionnaire Owner updates your company's submission, the CDP Portal includes your questions' responses and statuses.
Tip: If you're assigned a response through a comment or task, mark it as a Resolved or Complete — respectively — to further track the question's completion.
