Workiva Troubleshooting
We’re making it easier to keep things running smoothly with Workiva Troubleshooting!
This new feature is available in your help menu (see image below) and runs automated diagnostics for you on a regular basis. If one of the checks identifies something requiring attention, a notification badge will appear on the help menu. Along with the notification you will receive actionable solutions with clear information and next steps to resolve any potential issues on your own.
Workiva Troubleshooting will be rolling out out gradually starting in March, with all users gaining access by late April.

Streamlined file access requests
You can now request Viewer or Editor permissions for any Workiva document, spreadsheet, or presentation from within that file.
- Requesters: You can specify whether you need Viewer or Editor permissions when asking for access. You’ll receive a quick confirmation that your request was sent, and another notification as soon as the file owner approves or denies it.
- File Owners: Access requests are now automatically generated as tasks. You can see the file name and the requester’s details directly within the task and email notifications, allowing you to quickly approve or deny these requests without leaving your workflow.

Diagonal borders now available
You can now add a diagonal border within a table cell. This is an essential formatting requirement for Japanese financial reports.
