From Sustainability Explorer, you can review the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) for Governance, Strategy, Risk Management, and Metrics and Targets.
Tip: The International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation incorporated the recommendations of the TCFD to ease adoption of the Sustainability Disclosure Standards for the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). You can also use the recommendations to identify climate-related risks to disclose for California Senate Bill 261 (SB261).
As you review the Disclosures, you can:
- Bookmark recommendations relevant to your company's sustainability reporting.
- Identify related disclosures in other frameworks, such as for California SB261.
- Align disclosures with related metrics in Sustainability Program.
Include TCFD content in Sustainability Explorer
To include the recommendations of the TCFD in Sustainability Explorer for your workspace, select it or All frameworks from the Properties panel.
To learn more, view Set up content in Sustainability Explorer.
View related content from other frameworks
From a TCFD disclosure, you can view Related content to help identify similar guidelines or requirements for other frameworks you have enabled in Sustainability Explorer:
- California Air Resources Board (CARB), for SB261
- S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA)
- European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS)
- Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Sector Standards
- United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG)
To review a TCFD disclosure and related content side-by-side, click the content in Related to open it in the Explore panel.
Tip: To view the related content in the main pane instead of the panel, click Open in Explorer from the Explore panel.
Connect TCFD content to Program metrics
To help ensure you curate values or responses for material TFCD disclosures, you can connect them to their related metrics in Sustainability Program. When you connect a disclosure to a metric, workspace members can then refer to its content directly from the metric or its tasks for guidance of the values required.
You can connect content to a metric from either Sustainability Explorer or Sustainability Program:
- From Sustainability Explorer, click Connect to program metric for the disclosure or select Connect metric for its description or guidance, then select the metric it aligns with.
- From Sustainability Program, select the metric in the outline, then click Add related Explorer content in Metric details and select its applicable TCFD disclosure.
Note: To align a metric with a disclosure's description or guidance, connect the content from Sustainability Explorer. You can connect to only the full disclosure from Sustainability Program.
To learn more, view Align Program metrics with Sustainability Explorer content.
