From Corporate Regulatory Reporting, you can prepare reports for United States governmental agencies. As you prepare a report, you can manually enter or collect responses for its forms' fields.
Tip: To help automate data collection, you can also import data from your Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system or another source to populate the corresponding fields of a report. To learn more, view Import source data for Corporate Regulatory Reporting.
Prerequisites
To help automate data collection, each report includes a Process that can create and track tasks based its forms' fields. For each report, a Workspace Owner must first set up its:
- Report type, to assign a workspace member as the Process Owner to manage and monitor the report's data collection tasks
- Groups & assignees, to assign — in bulk — the default workspace members to prepare responses for the report's form fields
Note: From Reports, the Process Owner can manage the Process as necessary, such as to reassign tasks or monitor data collection.

Manually enter or collect responses
For fields not automatically populated by imported source data or Settings, you can manually enter responses or collect them from other members.
To enter responses directly in form:
- From Reports, expand the report type, then select Edit from the form's Actions.

Enter the form's responses.
- To view only fields with no response, turn on Show unfilled fields only.
- For fields that remain the same period-to-period — such as entity addresses or tax IDs — click Previous value to use the previously-reported value.
- For additional detail about a field — such as its source data name, description, or calculation formula — hover over its name.
Tip: The form automatically saves each field's entry. To leave a form — such as to resume its entries later — click Close .
Note: Fields that don't apply to a report — such as based on the entity's size or other responses — appear with a lock . Leave these fields with no response.
Manage a report's Process
The Process Owner — as assigned by a Workspace Owner — can manage a report's Process, such as to:
- Reassign fields to members other than the default assignees.
- Monitor the status of data collection tasks.
- Send reminders to assignees to prepare responses.
To open the Process for a report's form from Reports, select Open Process from the form's Actions.
