From Sustainability Explorer, you can explore multiple versions of a framework or questionnaire.

Similar to Pending, content for an upcoming reporting year that is not yet finalized and subject to change Note: While you can use Draft content to help prepare for adoption, its requirements may change before the finalized Pending or Current version.Tip: Only the European Sustainabiity Reporting Standards (ESRS) include a Draft version, to help adopt the simplified Standards from the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG). |
Explore a version
From the Frameworks panel, you can open a specific version of a framework's content.
Note: When a new version becomes available, its content appears only in Sustainability Explorer. To align metrics in Sustainability Program with the new version, update their related Explorer content accordingly. To ensure compliance, use only a current version for reporting.
For details about a version, including about its publication or any updates by Workiva, you can view its version notes. For some frameworks, you can also download its original source as a portable document file (PDF)
View version notes
From the Frameworks panel, you can view details from a framework's issuing body about its versions of content, such as:
- The publisher or issuing body
- When the publisher issued the version
- Additional details from the publisher, such as general reporting guidelines
- Any updates by Workiva to correct typographical errors, add missing content, or fix other bugs
From the Frameworks panel, select View version notes from the content's version.
From the version notes, you can view additional details as necessary.
- For details about what the publisher changed with the version, click Learn more to review its related article in Support Center.
- For summaries of any additional changes to the content within Sustainability Explorer, click View updates.
Download original source content
To enable deeper review of content outside of Workiva, you can save a ZIP file of the PDFs published for some frameworks' versions:
- Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS)
- European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS)
- Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards
- International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Sustainability Disclosure Standards
These PDFs include the original source content from the issuing body, including any images and introductory front matter.
Note: The downloaded PDFs do not include any comments, related disclosures, or other context added in Sustainability Explorer.
- From the Frameworks panel, open the version of the content to download.
- Click Download original source file .
- Click Download.
