To help meet the ever-evolving needs of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) or sustainability reporting, Workiva's Sustainability Reporting solution updates frequently, including these new features and enhancements introduced December 2025.

Download metric attachments for specific collection periods
When you download metric attachments from Program overview or a topic or metric in Sustainability Program, you can now choose the collection periods of the values with the supporting attachments to include in the ZIP file. Append timestamps to supporting attachment file names
From Sustainability Program, Program Owners can now choose — from Program settings — whether to append a timestamp to the file names of supporting attachments, for context of when the file was uploaded to its metric value.
For added clarity, this timestamp will appear when viewing attachments in:
- Metrics in Sustainability Program
- ZIP files of downloaded metric attachments
- Query results
Note: For consistency across workspace members, timestamps appear in a YYYYMMDD_HHmmss format, in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

Simplify IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards with Workiva AI
To help summarize and clarify the disclosure requirements of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Sustainability Disclosure Standards from the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), you can now use the ISSB Intelligence knowledge base with Workiva AI.
If your Sustainability Explorer includes the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, you can also view the source content used by Workiva AI to develop its response.
Note: The ISSB Intelligence knowledge base is available in Sustainability Reporting Advanced workspaces with Workiva AI enabled.

Copy ID of Explorer content
From Sustainability Explorer, you can now view and copy the unique Explorer ID used to identify content, such as to paste into an import template to align Program metrics with specific disclosure requirements. To learn more, view Intro to Sustainability Explorer.
