To use this feature, you must have registered at login.gov previously. For the smoothest enrollment experience, you will also need your Central Index Key (CIK), CIK Confirmation Code (CCC), and passphrase. If you have not reset your passphrase or CCC since September 2019, you will need to obtain new ones in order to enroll.
You should also add Filer API tokens and User API tokens prior to beginning the delegation process.
Add a business entity
All Central Index Keys (CIKs) in the active workspace, including those saved in Filing Default or Section 16 reporting owners and co-registrants, are displayed to simplify the enrollment process and track enrollment status. However, you may need to add a business entity if it is not listed already.
You can add an individual business entity by clicking Add business entity or add multiple entities by uploading a .csv file with entity information using the Enroll multiple option.
Enter the CIK for the entity, then click Add to add the entity to your Workiva account.
Enroll a business entity
After an entity has been added to your account, you can begin enrollment. If an entity was already enrolled through the SEC, you can also manually mark that entity as enrolled through the Actions menu.
1. To begin enrollment, click the blue Enroll option under Enrollment status.
2. Enter the details for the entity you are enrolling, then click Next.
3. Enter the details for an admin associated with this business entity. Single member companies will need to enter details for one admin, while all other companies will need to enter details for two admins. After entering your admin details, you can proceed to the Review step.
4. Review the details entered and confirm the information is correct. Once you've ensured the accuracy of all information, click Enroll entities to complete the process. A message will display with the result of your enrollment, after which you can return to workspace settings.
After a successful enrollment, the SEC will automatically randomize the CIK Confirmation Code (CCC) for any CIKs enrolled. Your admin can return any impacted CCCs to their original values through the SEC website.
Delegate a business entity
Once an entity has been enrolled, it can be delegated to allow Workiva to act as a filing agent for that entity. You can delegate from either the EDGAR dashboard or in the Workiva application. Delegation does not expire.
Note: When delegating through the EDGAR dashboard, you will need to delegate to both of the following CIKS, or you will not be able to use Workiva as an agent: 0001628279, 0001628280
1. Click Delegate under the Delegation status column for an entity that is enrolled but has not been delegated.
2. Choose a valid Filer API token and User API token for the business entity. If no options are available, you will need to add User API tokens to your profile or Filer API tokens to workspace settings.
