Cause

This means you do not have the necessary access to share data with another user. You'll see this error when attempting to create an outgoing connection.

Solution

Ask a Workspace Owner to assign you the proper role.

To share data with another user:

• You must be a Workspace Owner or Data Sharing Manager
• You must have Owner permissions to the file you're sharing

Shared data removed by source

Error

This data is no longer being shared by the source.
Shared data removed by source workspace.

Cause

This occurs when a data sharer removes a shared connection in the source workspace.

Solution

Data sharers have two options for controlling access to a shared dataset:

• They can remove access to a shared connection.
• They can remove the shared connection entirely.

This error occurs when the shared connection is removed entirely. As a result, the shared dataset in your workspace has been "orphaned" and can no longer receive updates from its source.

To resolve this error, you should:

1. Remove the existing connection from your workspace. It cannot be reconnected.
2. Ask the data owner to share it again.

This will create a new shared dataset which you can re-insert into your sheet.
