Add a Wdata widget to your personal dashboard to get an at-a-glance view of your most important data — directly from the Home screen. Data can be manually refreshed at any time and displays the same results found in Wdata proper.
Requirements
- You must have at least one Wdata query created in your workspace.
- To view query results in the widget, you must have access to Wdata and at least Viewer permission to the source query.
Add a widget
The Wdata query widgets allows you to see query results from the dashboard in Home.
To add a widget:
- From Home, click Create board.
- Next to the board name, click the Add widget dropdown menu and select the Wdata Query widget.
- On your board, select Set up widget.
- Select a query to connect the widget to, then choose which parameters to apply. Click Next.
- Select the columns to show in the widget, and click Finish.
By default, the widget is named Wdata Query. You can change this by editing the widget from the three-dot menu.
Refreshing your data
The data in your widget is automatically loaded the first time you open it. After that, you must manually refresh the widget to re-run the query and display the most up-to-date results.
Parameters
If you want to change the query parameters after adding the widget, click the gear icon to open the Data source properties. You can also change the table columns by clicking on the column headings.
Things to know
- Query results in this widget are limited to 1 million rows.
