Connectors allow the chains in your workspace to interact with either on-premises or cloud-based systems. You can find a list of all currently supported connectors through the Connectors section of the Support Center:
What if my source system isn't listed? Can I still connect it to Workiva?
Oftentimes yes, but building the connection requires a little more work versus natively supported connectors. We typically recommend using the HTTP Request connector for this purpose.
The HTTP Request connector can be used with almost any platform that supports HTTP/HTTPS connectivity, but there are a couple of requirements:
- Your vendor must have a public REST API.
- You must have an IT professional on staff capable of configuring the connection between Workiva and your source system.
When the HTTP Request connector isn't an option, it may also be possible to use the SFTP connector or a webhook.
