Note: Content requests are currently only available in ESG solutions and in the Data Collection or ESG Compliance add-ons.
Open a content request
Whenever a content request in a process starts, assignees receive an email notification along with Editor permissions to the selected file section. The content request also appears in the To do section in the Tasks tab in Home.
To open a content request from an email, click Go to Task to open the content request in the assigned file section.
To open the content request from within Workiva:
- From Home, go to the Tasks tab.
- Find the content request in the tasks list. You can click the View my tasks links, apply filters, and/or use the search bar to more easily find your content request.
- Click within the content request's row to open the details panel.
- Click the hyperlink to go to the appropriate place to submit or complete the content request.
To see the content requests that you’ve sent out, click All tasks and apply filters and/or use the search bar from there.
Complete a content request
Once you finish the content request, click:
- Complete if the content request doesn't need an approval
- Submit if the content request requires approval
The associated process will be updated, and the assignee’s permissions will be set to Viewer. If applicable, the approver will be notified to review the work done for the content request and will also receive Viewer permissions to the file section. After reviewing, the approver can then approve or return the content request.
