Tags allow you to organize your actions and add identifying information. All created tags will be visible across the workspace.
Tag requirements
Each action can only have up to 5 tags.
There are several tag requirements and characteristics:
- Tag categories and tag values can’t contain colons or commas
- Tag categories and tag values are limited to 100 characters each
- Tag categories and tag values are not case-sensitive
Add tags before starting the process
While building your process, in the Action details for an action, select a category and value in the Tags field (ex: Priority: Low). If adding a new category or value, first click the Add button in the dropdown to create the new category or value, and then add the tag. You’ll be able to edit these tags even after starting the process if needed.
Bulk edit tags before starting the process
In processes with many actions, you can save time with editing tags via bulk editing.
Note: You can only bulk edit tags before starting the process.
To bulk edit tags:
- In the actions list, select the actions that you want to edit.
- Click the Edit actions dropdown and select Tags.
- For the selected actions, choose to either Remove all existing tags or Replace all existing tags with new ones. If replacing the existing tags, select the category and value for the new tags that you want to replace the existing tags with.
- Click Save to make the changes.

After starting your process, if you need to edit tags on an action:

View tags
After starting your process, you can view the tags on each action in the action’s Action details.
