Runtime input step runs indefinitely

We've found an issue with a runtime input step that remained running indefinitely in one of our chains (image below). We had to manually stop the process and re run it, then it worked ok. This process runs daily, generally without issues.
How can we troubleshoot or avoid this in future executions given that runtime input steps dont timeout?

For this type of issue it is hard to diagnose due to the way Runtime Inputs are developed. It would be best to open a support ticket to have the proper folks perform a review and gather the necessary information.
