Downstream Impacts of Changing Column Names?
已回覆Our team is aiming to update column names for some of our tables. These tables and columns are used in queries downstream. Will we have to update the column names downstream as well or will they automatically update? How is the column ID used in downstream queries versus the column name? We do not intend to change any column IDs.

Hi Keely Fitzsimmons you can change Column Name and/or add new Columns as needed. Doing so will not affect downstream queries since queries use the Column ID value.
However, if you did need to change the Column ID, you would need to unimport all datasets in the table prior to being able to change the Column ID. After making the change and saving it, you can then re-import the datasets. All queries that used the old Column ID values would need to be updated to use the new Column ID value.
