What are the technical limits affecting ESG Program dimensions?

- How many dimensions can be created/used per ESG Program (including inactive)?
- How many values can be created/used per dimension (again, including inactive)?
Is there a known, theoretical, or practical limit to either of these that we should take into account while planning our use of dimensions?
As a large organization we have data that could be broken down, within certain dimensions, into thousands of dimension values. While we know that this may be prohibitively time-consuming to manage through the ESG Program UI anyway, we want to at least understand if this within the intended range of how dimensions are designed to be used.

Hi Andrew! Great question.
While ESG Program currenlty enables some wiggle room, our general guidance is up to 250 active dimensions — with up to 1,500 active values each — for optimal performance and experience.

Great, thanks Andrew McKenzie! I will note one caveat: We also recommend up to 6,000 values collected annually per metric, so you may want to consider fewer dimension values for metrics with monthly data collection. Thanks again!
