"evergreen style format"
Daisy Yan I noticed on one of your comments that you stated you went to the Evergreen-style format, which made your quarterly and annual roll-forward process much more efficient. Do you mind me asking what that approach was? I'm in the process of updating all the files to connect across multiple areas and trying to determine the best approach. I'm also working on the one workbook approach for our annual and quarterly filings. Do you mind sharing your approach for notes that are different for the quarterly and annual filings? Do you have one for each in the one file and just hide when it is not needed?

Hi!
When I inherited the workbook, it was sort of in an Evergreen style already in that we used the same workbook for our 10-Q and 10-K syncs into Workiva. To be honest, the Excel file is really built for a 10-K, but we add in quarterly data for disclosures into the same tabs. I modified the file to have formulas built into the Workiva spreadsheet which links to the documents for filing, as I don't have Wdata so that's kind of our work-around.
The 10-Q and 10-K document in Workiva is what took more time. In short, I basically copied over a 10-Q template into a copy of the 10-K and re-linked the 10-Q items.
I wonder if there's a way you can reach out to me directly on this so that we're not having a discussion on a public forum.
