    Great news!

The Pagination features Keep With Next and Keep Lines Together are both now included in the Styles

Thanks for your patience and feedback along the way. We couldn't have done it without you!

    Hi Cassi,

Thanks for reaching out! I just want to make sure I am understanding correctly, are you wanting the same style to be reflected throughout the whole section or just part of the section, or a feature to lock a certain style in a certain area of the document? If it's none of those could you please explain more so I can direct your feedback to the correct team?

    Thanks!

Since you cannot set defaults for pagination in the "Style Guides", then when you apply a style it changes, for example, keep with next and turns that off. We have a bunch of Header style guides, and all of our headers should be "keep with next"; unfortunately, since the style guide cannot be set to "keep with next" every time we apply a specific header style, it turns off the "keep with next" for that header. Maybe we'll remember to turn it on, but often times we don't and it shows up as incorrect formatting sometime down the road when it is where a page breaks.

My apologies for not responding.  I agree with Dallas.  When I create a heading connect it with the paragraph below it, I want it to remain with the paragraph below it, even if I change the appearance of the heading.  So my hope is that when we create a style to change the heading for each of the headings throughout the document, I would like to be able to click "keep with next" while creating the specific style, and as a result, the heading will remain with the following paragraph that follows the heading.  The ability to keep the heading and paragraph together can either be 1) an option to select while creating the style or 2) an option to keep current paragraph formatting with the style applied to the text (aka heading).

No worries, Cassie. Thanks so much for your insights. I'm happy to get these logged with our product team.

Is there any update on this idea? We would also like to have the possibility to define text styles for which the paragraph property "Keep with next" can be defined as default (for headers so that any header is automatically kept together with next text lines). Thank you.

    Hi Justine!

Nothing new to update, sadly, though it does remain proposed. I'll add you there as a requestor a well and we'll keep you updated going forward. Thanks for chiming in!
