Connecting sheet to data set

I've created a spreadsheet that's connected to a query. I'd like to create a separate connected sheet to this sheet. I've published the spreadsheet connected to the query, but in my new sheet it says I'm unable to connect to a data set.
Can anyone help me in what step I missed to connect the sheet?
Some additional context, I'm looking to add formulas to this connected sheet, not doing this to the original sheet, as any refresh of the data would delete the formulas. But open to other ways of doing this if possible.

Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out! I have consulted with some of our experts and they have suggested putting formulas directly on the sheet connected to the query and locking those cells so they don't get overwritten when you refresh your query. Hi Paige,
In order for me to do this, I wanted to add some additional columns to the left of the data to lock. It seems I don't have the option to add columns when the sheet is connected to a query. Any suggestions on how I can do this?
Also, I was wondering if locking the cells is the best way to solve this. The data coming in from the query can have a different number of rows. This would mean that I would have to adjust the formulas every time there are more rows in the data.
