Limit Count Maximum
Hello,
I build a spreadsheet that has multiple tabs and over 400 rows on most tabs. I am currently utilizing source links to grab the lower level data and combine it into summary views in the same file. However, i have reach my "Limit Count Maximum" per the health check in Next Gen. Is there a better way to link data up? For instance, should i have used "='MPC'!D2" instead of source links since they are all in one file.
Thanks
For instance,
This is one of 12 submissions "tabs" in our nextgen spreadsheet file. This and the all 11 tabs have links into summary tabs (each column has a different summary tab - So 8 in total) (all have the same number of rows) and then the total from the summary tabs make it to the final page (with the same number of rows)

Hi Nicole!
Thanks for the question, and for the additional info too. Our Product Team is always pursuing increases to the thresholds for the amounts of data our products can hold, such as Spreadsheets, so your info and use case here certainly helps guide us.
That being said, you are correct. To help avoid hitting this link limit, its our best practice to try and use cell references where you can in place of a link. It can be a tricky balance though, as thousands of calculations can also slow things down depending on connection speeds and such, but converting some links to formula references will help keep you under the link count max for sure.
I've passed your feedback here onto the team for further consideration but in the meantime, let me know what further questions you have for me, or if you need anything else. Thanks again for your contributions and have a great rest of your day!
