How do I tag a period duration of weeks?
已回答I am trying to tag our fiscal period of 52 weeks with FiscalPeriodDuration, but P52W is not recognized as a period duration. Is there a nuance? I found reference to this exact question in another posting, but it is no longer active. The definition of the concept says "Duration of a fiscal period, in 'PnYnMnDTnHnMnS' format, for example, 'P1Y5M13D' represents the reported fact of one year, five months, and thirteen days. Includes, but not limited to, weeks in a year or quarter." Although, arguably, the 'PnYnMnDTnHnMnS' does not include a W. Thanks!

Hi Chelsea!
You are correct, under the current ISO Duration tagging limits, the ability to tag in weeks is not an option. In this case, you'd need to either tag it as the converted years, months or days. I'll also add that both FASB and SEC discussions have indicated this separate tagging to not be required at Level 4, since the calendar dates applied to all other Level 4 data already indicate the yearly or quarterly period durations. As a result, its our best practice to NOT tag this value.
That being said, we'd encourage you to confirm with your own counsel and if they feel it should be tagged, the above would be correct, i.e. it would need to be tagged as year(s), months or day. This could be done in a non-printing section as well.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions for me, or need anything else. Thanks, and stay awesome!0请先登录再写评论。
