Shipping, Handling, and Transportation Concept after XBRL Migration
已回答We just rolled forward our Q3 2018 file into the 2018 XBRL Taxonomy and I have one item that is giving me some issues. On the face of our Income Statement, we had the Transportation line tagged as Shipping, Handling, and Transportation Costs. However, now that concept has been deprecated and I can’t find anything that will match. The migration had me change this to be dimensional so now the concept is Operating Costs and Expenses with a Product and Service Axis and a Shipping and Handling Member. However, I don’t think I should have dimensions on the face of my financials, right? Has anyone else had this issue? I'm not sure what Concept to use on the face of our financials.

Great question, Mandy!
You're likely noticing changes in the taxonomy around the revenue and cost of revenue modeling that were updated in the 2018 UGT Taxonomy. Most of this is driven due to ASC 606. While it's important to review your individual impact and updates related to the guidance, the FASB has clarified that dimensions on your face statement may be appropriate in certain cases and is expected for Revenues and Cost of Revenues that are broken out on your Income Statement. Here is the FASB's implementation guide to see examples of their modeling: https://www.fasb.org/cs/ContentServer?c=Document_C&cid=1176170730626&d=&pagename=FASB%2F...
In the meantime, holler if you have any additional questions for me. Thanks and talk to you soon. Cheers!0请先登录再写评论。
