Prepare for CDP 2025
As a Gold Accredited Solution Provider for CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project), Workiva will provide the content for CDP's 2025 questionnaire in Sustainability Explorer when it becomes available. In the meantime, you can get a proactive jumpstart on your 2025 submissions!
After their extensive changes from 2023 to 2024, CDP is focused on consistency for 2025 — with minimal changes expected to their questionnaire — so you can continue to use the 2024 questionnaire as a placeholder. Review your 2024 submission, and — if you haven't already — align your questions in Sustainability Explorer with Sustainability Program metrics. And if you discover gaps in your data collection, create new metrics aligned with questions for 2025 as necessary.
Also, mark your calendars! CDP intends to open their portal for submissions the week of May 19, with a scoring deadline in mid-September. Between now and then, stay tuned to What's new in Sustainability in Support Center for new feature releases to help ease your 2025 CDP submissions.

Just to follow up, CDP announced a shift in their expected timeline of about a month, and now intends to open their portal for submissions mid-June, not May as previously anticipated. Their scoring deadline still remains mid-September, however. Thanks!
Steve Stegelin" - Hi Steve, is there an updated spreadsheet version of CDP for 2025? Or are people leveraging copies of the 2024 spreadsheet due to "minimal changes?"

Hi Sarah! As mentioned in this post's comment thread, there will be a new form-based experience for CDP 2025. From there, you'll be able to collaborate on responses to your company's specific questions and then update your CDP submission with those responses, directly from your Sustainability Reporting workspace. Keep an eye on What's New in Sustainability Reporting for its release (which should be very, very soon).

Sarah Whiteside (and everyone else), just a heads up that the aforementioned form-based CDP 2025 questionnaire is now available in Sustainability Explorer, if your Explorer includes CDP 2025.
