PDF in filing

We have followed the instructions to edgarize a pdf for our exhibits. However we are getting errors. I understand we have to file to have the pdfs "live" but how do we file if we have errors?
Will i be able to file with the errors? Or do we have to complete a test file first?

thanks. We did get it to work. luckily there's only 3 and the rest are word. there should be an easier way. takes alot of time to get the pdfs to work.
