Getting started with Chains or looking for examples of Chain leading practices? Check out Chain templates created by Workiva! 

Workiva Chain templates are available and ready to use for all Connected customers. To find the list of current Chain templates, navigate to Chain builder > select Templates on the left > click Workiva Chains across the top. 

From here you can browse the different folders and click on the > icons to expand each one. We are continuing to add new templates to this list so keep checking back!

To view and save a Chain template for your own use, click on the Chain name then “New Chain” in the top right once it opens. Related documentation walking though setup requirements and configuration for the templates can be found in the community.

Once a Chain template is saved for your own use, you can customize and adapt it to your business needs. You can also add a Chain template as a step in an existing or new chain. To do this, add a Run Chain event and select your template from the drop down menu.
