Formulas direct from an embedded table in a document to a spreadsheet

I couldn't quite find anything on this in the community but is it possible to have formula in the embedded table of a document which it's source is a spreadsheet?  For example I know that you can obviously link to cells in a spreadsheet outside of your embedded table but is it possible to do a sumif from the embedded table to a source spreadsheet?

    Hi Ben! 

    Thank you for your question. I consulted the Wdesk SME (subject matter expert) regarding your question. They did inform me that unfortunately the platform will not allow for cross-spreadsheet formulas at this time. However, a ticket has been created as this is a feature request customers have asked for before and our  engineers are looking into it. Hopefully this is a feature that Wdesk will be able to provide in the future!
