Workspace User Document Permissions

Hi - is it possible to create a user report that shows users in the Workspace, and details what folders they have access to and what level of permissions they have for each folder?

This would be extremely helpful for controls or access to confidential information.

    This would be great! I've asked about having access to "view as" a specific user for the same purpose, but a report would be easier to review.

    Hello and welcome to the Community, Ossie!

    I did a little digging with our Workspace experts and can tell you that today it is not possible to generate a permission access report. However, this is a very popular request and I'm happy to add you to our list of interested customers for sure (same goes for you @...).

    Ooooooh, Mike Davis can I get on that list as well?  Tracing down permissions seems to have gotten even more convoluted with the addition of folder permissions - I'd love to have more insight into permissions for my users.  The type of report that Ossie is talking about would be a DREAM!

    Well I feel sheepish—we did plan to release this functionality in Q2, but it seems we have missed that goal by a lil' bit...

    It is still on the radar and is now planned for release in Q4 2021. Stay tuned and with any luck, it'll be here before ya know it!

    This feature is available today via a beta setting in the Workiva Platform. If you would like this enabled, just let us know and we'll get that added for you. If have any questions about this feature visit this Help article.
