Numbered List in a legal contract/agreement
RespondidaThere have been times that I need to import a legal contract/agreement from Word that has the paragraphs in a multi-level list with auto numbering as follows:
Section 1
1.1 Text
1.2 Text
Section 2
2.1 Text
2.2 Text
I know I can convert the autotext into regular text prior to bringing it into Workiva, but is there a way to autonumber in Workiva with this type of format?

I hope I am understanding the question correctly but if you are wanting a numbered list such as the one above you can use the "Create Numbered List" option in the edit tab. Once you enter a few numbers such as the ones above it will automatically start to match the formatting.

Unfortunately, that did not work. It only lets me select the predefined number formats under "Create Numbered List". Thank you for trying to assist. I will contact support.

This will still take some work, but may speed things up. If you are on the side panel, you can add prefixes and suffixes when you make a list. So you should be able to auto-number your list, and then add the section as a prefix?
