Best practice for label suffixes?

Is there a best practice for label suffixes (i.e. bracketed [Abstract], [Line Item]) and whether to include them in the presentation or not? I have seen both.

    Hi Amanda!

    Regarding label suffixes, we recommend keeping the label suffix for your root abstract and editing the others with the presentation to match as closely to your document as possible, in according with EFM 6.11.1.

    For example, the Cash Flow Statement provides a good mix of this:



    As you can see, only the root abstract here still contains the label prefix and all others are edited to match the document. That being said, you can certainly leave them, if you want.
