Conditional Formatting in Next Gen Presentation
Udzielono odpowiedziI have a table in a Next Gen Presentation that shows data by quarter in columns. The data is always for a 2-year period, so future quarters shown will be forecast. I'd like to be able to set a Conditional Format on the current year columns that will look at the column header and, if it is "Forecast*", make each cell in the column grey. I can't figure out how to get the Conditional Formatting tool to do this. Please help!
Here's a screenshot of what I've tried. In this shot, I've just used the pink/red format, but the idea is still the same.
*Note: I did already press "Save Rule", this is me going back into the saved rule to edit to grab the screenshot. :)

Thanks for the question. Indeed, this was quite a challenge to get right, but I think I have solved the puzzle. :) Here's how I set it up.
The only differences between your condition and mine are that I'm using an absolute cell reference (the $C$1 portion) and for the "When" item, I'm using Formula is true.

Mike Davis, rats!! I didn't even notice that there was a scroll bar in the When dropdown, so I didn't see the Formula options.
That worked perfectly! Thank you so much!
Side note for the devs: to make it work for Q2, Q3 and Q4 columns, I had to make 3 separate rules. Using the absolute reference made all three columns look at the $C$1 instead of each column looking at its own row 1 value. It'd be nice to have it be "drag-able" like in Excel.
