Tasks - possible updates in the pipeline?
We would like to utilized tasks more vs utilizing a 3rd party software to obtain documents and have folks within WDesk participate in the completion of certain, well, tasks.
As it currently stands, it seems tasks are underdeveloped vs the rest of WDesk features. Perhaps the following enhancements could be added to Task functionality:
1) Allow tagging a task to a particularly highlighted section of a document like comments (e.g. upon highlighting a section of a document, a comment can be added and it is tagged directly to where you intend the recipient of the comment to focus)
2) Allow exceptions or comments to be added to a task by the task recipient
3) Increase transparency of the task recipients interaction with a task for audit purposes

Hello Pat Flanakin,Apologies for the delay as I was doing some digging for you! Here's what I found:
- Tasks can be added to a section, not specific content within a section. However, I'm happy to add you to the idea ticket for tasking a more granular area of a document!
- Comments and Tasks are not related functions. However, a Process Manager when creating Actions/Tasks, could add in the instructions the name and location verbally of where the Comment lives and could create sub-Tasks in the same manner to manage Comments this way. Tasks and comments are separate functions, but you can use the Comments Home and Task Management Tool under Home to manage both of these all in two places to make the experience easier to navigate/manage. I'll get a feature request spun up for direct comments on tasks for ya!
- Depending on the information you are looking for, the Task Activity Logs would provide the level of detail, per task. This would provide information on when a task was sent, completed, etc.
