I would like to create a parameter within Wdata Query to always default to current date. I see I can select a date as default value but my requirement is to dynamically update to today's date whenever the query is triggered. is there an alternative solution?

    Hi Ganesh! 

    Let's first try not using a parameter. Let's go ahead and use a filter in the WHERE clause: field_name to filter = current_date. Make sure the field name is a fate datatype.

    Hi Regan,

    My query is working if I use current date directly in the where condition. The user wants the latest report by default but also want the flexibility to pass a certain date and get report up to that date.

    Ganesh, I spoke with our experts in Wdata and it sounds like as of right now there isn't a way to use a function such as CURRENT_DATE in a calendar-driven parameter.
